Medusa in the TV Age
by Anastasia Andersen

repeats
her favorite monologues
to statues
of the argonauts
tinted green like old TV

rapt in front of TV flicker
stippled with reflected light
Medusa hums the white noise
that sedates her rage
of hair

immobile
in her mossy cave
Medusa stares into the box
her sea eyes
lidless
green
as any candy
on TV
